January 2000
CTI Brazil Facility

Still expected to open its doors during Spring 2000, Composite Technology do Brazil Ltda. will be located in Rio de Janeiro at the airport of Jacarepagua.

The appointed general manager, Abrahim de Almeida Alli Junior, and lead technician, Marco Greco, of Composite Technology Brazil are currently receiving on the job training at CTI, Grand Prairie. Started in December, the training program covers repair procedures, quality/inspection procedures and CTI customer service approach and philosophy.

Abrahim, former director of maintenance of Lider Rio de Janeiro and Marco, former Lieutenant Engineer in the Brazilian Air Force, have extensive experience in the aviation industry. Both have already adapted to the Texan lifestyle but still look forward to opening the doors of the new facility in their town, Rio. Modifications of the Brazilian facility will start end of January, and tooling manufacture at CTI Grand Prairie is well on its way.

Michael Topa, President, is confident that the opening of the Brazilian facility will be a success story. Tremendous resources were pulled together for this project, and motivation level in the team is really high. "We are eager to improve support for Brazilian helicopter operators. Our goal is to increase capabilities of the facility based on operators' requirements."
