709 M/R 10 year Inspection P/N 709-0103-01 (all dash #)
Agusta Aerospace Corporation (AAC) held a roundtable September 28, 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, during which CTI spoke on the 10-year inspection. The latter consists of a dimensional check of retention bolt holes, a sweep check using a jig and master blade, blade static balance and a blade deflection test.
George Caufman, CTI Quality Manager, confirmed the inspection will cost approximately $500 per blade and will be available mid-November.
CTI welcomes operators and service centers to schedule their blades to receive the 10-year inspection. Renee Wilson, CTI Customer Service Manager, shared that "an appointment will prevent backlog and guarantee a 3 day turn-around time per set."

CTI … Compliance to Y2K
We have all heard about the Y2K, the millennium bug. The legal problems associated with the date-change problem expose corporations to tremendous millennium risks.
CTI responded to the Y2K threat in 1998 by identifying corrective actions required to insure that its mission critical systems would be able to process dates after January 1, 2000.
In the first half of 1999, these corrective actions were implemented with no significant impact to system functionality. By the end of November 1999, all personal computers used in administrative support will be year 2000 compliant for both hardware and software. Also, CTI will survey its major vendors and customers to confirm their readiness for the next millennium.
"We do not anticipate any disruptions in our services to our customers from date-related processing errors," concludes Michael Cook, responsible of the Y2K project.
